Spills and stains happen — whether it’s a splash of coffee on your carpet or a stubborn mark on your drapes. But don’t worry, with the right know-how, you can keep your fabrics looking fresh and lasting longer. In this guide, we’ll walk you through practical tips and simple methods for removing stains from carpets and drapery fabrics, so your home stays clean, comfortable, and stylish.
Step 1: Don't Panic
For Stains like mud, ketchup, lipstick or silly putty, you'll need to get a teaspoon. Remove any stain residue with the edge of the teaspoon or a flat utensil.
Step 2: Water & Blot (with paper towel)

Apply water to the stain and blot using a white paper towel.
Blotting instead of rubbing is really important, because rubbing with paper towels will just rip of your paper towel and grind the fibres from it into your fabric. Repeat the process until you can't see the stain on the paper towel anymore.
Step 3: Water & Circles (with a microfibre cloth)

Apply more water to the area and rub with gentle circular movements with a microfibre cloth.
Use soap for stubborn stains. Any white bar of soap will do, whatever you have in the house.
Step 4: Air Dry

This is really important.
Don't use a hairdryer or apply heat to the stain in any way. Just air dry. It's fine.
Keeping your fabrics spotless doesn’t have to be a struggle. With a little care and the right approach, carpets and drapes can look as good as new for years to come.
